Allan Rich was an American character actor who played a judge in the television series Hill Street Blues. He was blacklisted during the 1950s due to alleged communist sympathies and became an advocate for social causes. Rich co-founded the non-profit organization We Care About Kids, which focuses on creating educational short films for young audiences. He also mentored actress Rene Russo in her acting career. His film credits include roles in The Last Boy Scout (1991) and The Great White Hope (1970).
