Alexia Barlier is a French actress who starred in the Michael Bay film 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016). She grew up in a bilingual environment, speaking both French and English, influenced by her New Zealand ballet dancer mother and French art dealer father. Barlier discovered her passion for acting at 14, playing Viola in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, and pursued formal training shortly thereafter. Her film debut came at 18 in 24 Hours in a Woman's Life, directed by Laurent Bouhnik. She gained recognition in 2007 at the Cannes Film Festival as an Adami talent for her roles in the short films of Comédiennes and in Conversations with My Gardener, where she portrayed Magda.
