Alexandre Astier is a French writer, director, actor, and composer who created and starred as King Arthur in the television series Kaamelott. He gained initial recognition for his play Le Jour du froment and later directed the short film Dies Irae, which served as a precursor to Kaamelott. Astier appeared in LOL (Laughing Out Loud) (2009) and directed David et Madame Hansen (2012). He has performed in theatrical productions such as "Que ma joie demeure!" and "L'Exoconférence." He co-directed Asterix: The Mansions of the Gods (2014) and wrote for Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion (2018).
