Alex Lawther is an English actor who portrayed the young Alan Turing in The Imitation Game (2014). He began his acting career in theatre at the age of 16, taking on the lead role in David Hare’s South Downs. Lawther starred in the 2015 film Departure alongside Juliet Stevenson and played James in the Channel 4 series The End of the F***ing World from 2017 to 2019. His performance in The Imitation Game earned him the London Film Critics' Circle Award for 'Young British Performer of the Year'. Other notable works include Goodbye Christopher Robin (2017) and Alien: Earth (2025).
