Alan Alda is an American actor, director, screenwriter, and author who won six Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe. He gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Hawkeye Pierce in the television series MASH. Alda's film credits include notable works such as California Suite (1978) and The Aviator (2004). In addition to his acting career, he serves as a visiting professor at the Stony Brook University School of Journalism.
