Aksel Hennie is a Norwegian actor who made his film debut in Jonny Vang (2003). He has gained recognition for his performances in several notable films, including Max Manus (2008), where he portrayed the titular Norwegian war hero. Hennie has also appeared in The Martian (2015), The Doorman (2020), and The Trip (2021). His work in the film Uno (2004), which he directed and starred in, earned him the Amanda Award for Best Direction in 2005. Additionally, he was honored as one of European films' Shooting Stars in 2004.
