Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan is a Turkish actor who played Iskender in the popular surreal comedy series Leyla ile Mecnun. He graduated in theatre from Hacettepe University State Conservatory and began his career at the Diyarbakir State Theatre from 1989 to 1993. Taylan has collaborated extensively with Yücel Erten on various theatrical projects and worked with Roberto Ciulli at the Theatre an Der Ruhr in Germany during 1993 and 1994. He served as the General Secretary of the State Theatre Artists' Association until 2006 and received the Ismet Küntay award for Best Director in 2002 for the play Misafir Sahneleyisi. His film credits include Bad Cat (2016).
