Ahmed Moneka is the first Black Iraqi to host a television program. He is a multi-talented artist specializing in acting, music, and writing, with roots in both Canada and Iraq. Ahmed studied theatre at the Institute of Fine Art in Baghdad and later at the Academy of Fine Art. His artistic work emphasizes themes of togetherness and harmony, reflecting his Afro-Iraqi heritage. He gained recognition for co-writing and starring in The Society, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and led to his exile from Iraq. Moneka also appeared in Honey Bunch (2026).
