Adrienne Barbeau is an American actress who gained fame for her role as Rizzo in the original Broadway production of Grease. She became a prominent figure in the 1970s through her portrayal of Carol Traynor on the sitcom Maude. Barbeau starred in several notable horror and science fiction films during the 1980s, including The Fog (1980), Swamp Thing (1982), and Escape from New York (1981). She also lent her voice to Catwoman in Batman: The Animated Series and appeared in the HBO series Carnivàle in the 2000s. Barbeau's recent work includes roles in Watchmen: Chapter I and Watchmen: Chapter II, both released in 2024.
