Adriana Barraza is a Mexican actress who received an Academy Award nomination for her role in Babel (2006). She gained recognition for her performance in Amores perros (1999), directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, where she played the mother of Gael García Bernal's character. Barraza has also appeared in films such as Thor (2011), Rambo: Last Blood (2019), and Dora and the Lost City of Gold (2019). In addition to her acting career, she is an acting teacher and director, having co-founded an Actors Workshop in Mexico City. Barraza operates her own acting school in Miami, Florida, called Adriana Barraza's Black Box.
