Aashiq Abu is an Indian film director who directed Daddy Cool (2009). He works primarily in Malayalam cinema and has produced several notable films, including Salt N' Pepper (2011) and Idukki Gold (2013). Abu frequently collaborates with screenwriters Syam Pushkaran and Dileesh Nair. His film Virus (2019) received significant attention, while other works include Neelavelicham (2023) and Naradan (2022). Aashiq Abu also produces and distributes films under the banners OPM and OPM Dream Mill Cinemas, with OPM being involved in the production of Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016), which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam.
