The story follows a determined female detective, played by Carrie-Anne Moss, who is called to investigate a mysterious disappearance that deeply affects the local populace. This incident not only tests her skills but also brings her face-to-face with the haunting folklore of Baba Yaga, a mythical figure that looms large in the cultural psyche of the region. As she delves into the case, the detective must navigate both the intricate web of local relationships and the eerie, supernatural elements that color her investigation. The central conflict of "YAGA" revolves around the detective's quest for truth amidst the shadows of local legends and deeply rooted family secrets.
