William Toti is a retired US Navy captain who served as the final captain of the Los Angeles-class submarine USS Indianapolis. His career in the military included a position as commodore of Submarine Squadron 3 in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. In addition to his naval service, Toti has also engaged in writing and photography. He appeared in the documentary 9/11: One Day in America (2021).
