Wallace Beery was an American actor who won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in The Champ. He starred in approximately 250 films during his career, which lasted 36 years. Notable works include his performances in Min and Bill (1930) and a series of films featuring the character Sweedie. He also appeared in My Wife's Relations (1922). Beery was the brother of actor Noah Berry.
