Taner Birsel is a Turkish actor who starred in "The Confession" (2002), which was featured in the "Un Certain Regard" section of the Cannes Film Festival. He studied Journalism and Public Relations before pursuing Performing Arts at the Conservatory of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Birsel has performed in over 30 plays at the Istanbul State Theatre since 1985, including notable works such as "King Lear" and "Hamlet". His film credits include "Ayla: The Daughter of War" (2017) and "Blue Cave" (2024). He received Best Male Actor at the 24th SIYAD Awards.
