McKenna also appeared in notable titles such as Villain (1971), The Charge of the Light Brigade (1968), and Red Scorpion (1988). His television work includes roles in Bleak House, Inspector Morse, and Doctor Who. McKenna began his stage career with the play Summer and Smoke by Tennessee Williams in 1954.
