Steve Yoo is a Korean-American actor who transitioned from a successful career as a pop singer in South Korea to acting in China. He was previously known as Yoo Seung-joon and faced deportation from South Korea in 2002 after becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen, which led to his inability to fulfill mandatory military service. In his acting career, he appeared in the film Little Big Soldier (2010).
