Stephen Chow is a Hong Kong filmmaker, actor, and producer who directed the film Shaolin Soccer (2001). He began his career in the entertainment industry as an extra for Rediffusion Television before gaining prominence as a host on TVB's children's program 430 Space Shuttle. Chow achieved significant success with films like Fight Back to School and The Final Combat, and he transitioned to directing in 1994 with From Beijing with Love. His film Kung Fu Hustle (2004) grossed over $106 million worldwide and received numerous awards, including Best Director at the Taiwan Golden Horse Awards. Chow's work has been recognized by institutions such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music, which dubbed him the King of Comedy.
