Sivaji Ganesan is an Indian actor who was the first Indian film star to receive a Best Actor award at an international film festival, specifically the Afro-Asian Film Festival in Cairo in 1960. His prolific career spanned nearly five decades, during which he appeared in approximately 300 films across various languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Ganesan's notable works include Padayappa (1999) and Andha Naal (1954). He was honored with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1997.
