Shobu Kapoor is a British actress of Indian descent who played Gita Kapoor in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 1993 to 1998. She appeared in the film Bend It Like Beckham in 2002 and had roles in the TV series The Bill (2004) and Casualty (2005). Kapoor's film credits include Chicken Tikka Masala (2005) and Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj (2006). She also portrayed five different characters in the series Doctors between 2000 and 2016. Kapoor's recent work includes Mother Teresa & Me (2022).
