Sharon D. Clarke is an English actress and singer who originated the role of the Killer Queen in We Will Rock You. She gained prominence for her portrayal of Lola Griffin in the medical drama Holby City and has starred in various West End musicals, including Ghost the Musical as Oda Mae Brown. Clarke achieved notable success in the music industry with the FPI Project's remake of Going Back to My Roots and the singles "(I Wanna Give You) Devotion" and "Just a Groove," the latter selling over two million copies globally. In addition to her stage and music career, she joined the cast of Doctor Who for its 11th series. Clarke appeared in Wicked: For Good (2025) and Bagman (2024).
