Serenay Sarıkaya is a Turkish actress and model who gained international recognition for her role in the series Lale Devri. She began her acting career at the age of fourteen with a minor role in the film Şaşkın (2006) and later starred in Plajda (2008). Sarıkaya achieved her first leading role in the children's fantasy series Peri Masalı (2008) and gained prominence as Sofia in the crime comedy series Adanalı (2008–10). She has collaborated with Nejat İşler in the films Behzat Ç.: Ankara Is on Fire (2013) and İkimizin Yerine. Sarıkaya has received multiple awards, including two Golden Butterfly Awards, and was named Woman of the Year by GQ Turkey in 2014.
