Santosh Sivan is an Indian cinematographer who became the first in the Asia-Pacific region to be honored with membership in the American Society of Cinematographers. He graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India and has worked on 45 feature films and 41 documentaries. Sivan has received five National Film Awards for Best Feature Film Cinematography and a total of 11 National Film Awards, along with 21 international accolades. His notable works include Thuppakki (2012), Aśoka (2001), and Jack N Jill (2022). In 2014, he was awarded the Padmashree by the President of India.
