S. P. Balasubramaniam is an Indian musician and playback singer who holds the Guinness World Record for recording the highest number of songs by a singer, with over 40,000 tracks in 16 languages. He has received six National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer across Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, along with 25 Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards for his work in Telugu cinema. His accolades also include the Filmfare Award and six Filmfare Awards South, as well as the state NTR National Award in 2012. Balasubramaniam was honored with the Indian Film Personality of the Year award in 2016 and received the civilian awards Padma Shri in 2001 and Padma Bhushan in 2011. He was involved in the film Devadas in 2018.
