Ruskin Bond is an Anglo Indian author who wrote the story for the film 7 Khoon Maaf (2011). He has penned over 500 short stories, essays, and novels, with a significant portion dedicated to children's literature. His literary contributions earned him the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1992 for the work Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra. Additionally, Bond received the Padma Shri in 1999 and the Padma Bhushan in 2014 for his achievements in literature. He resides in Landour, Mussoorie, with his adopted family.
