Rie Miyazawa is a Japanese actress who made her film debut in the 1988 movie Seven Day's War, winning the Japan Academy Award for Newcomer of the Year. She began her career as a child model and gained fame as one of the leading idols of the early Heisei era, notable for her controversial nude photography book Santa Fe in 1991. Miyazawa's significant film roles include The Twilight Samurai (2002), The Face of Jizo (2004), and Tony Takitani (2004). Her more recent work includes performances in Pale Moon (2014) and Her Love Boils Bathwater (2016). She will appear in Asura (2025).
