Presley Chweneyagae is a South African actor who played the lead role as David, aka Tsotsi, in the film Tsotsi (2005). This performance in Gavin Hood's crime drama earned significant critical acclaim and led to the film's historic win as the first South African feature to receive an Academy Award. In addition to his film work, Chweneyagae portrayed Thuso ‘Cobra’ Mokoena in the popular telenovela The River (2018–24), which earned him a South African Film and Television Award in 2019. He was also active in theater, co-writing and directing notable productions like CELL NO 4. Chweneyagae appeared in iNumber Number: Jozi Gold (2023).
