Peter Arne was an actor who appeared in the film Straw Dogs (1971). He had a diverse background, being born to a Swiss-French mother and an American father in Kuala Lumpur. In addition to his acting career, he was also an antique dealer. Arne's life ended tragically in 1983 when he was murdered in his Knightsbridge flat after attending a costume fitting for Doctor Who. The investigation revealed that he had been bludgeoned to death, with the prime suspect being a man he had been helping. The case concluded with the suspect's apparent suicide shortly after Arne's death.
