N!xau is a Namibian actor who portrayed the character Xixo in The Gods Must Be Crazy (1980). He gained international recognition for his performance in this film and its sequel, The Gods Must Be Crazy II (1989). Apart from acting, he was also a bush farmer. N!xau's work in these films made him a notable figure in Namibian cinema, and he was referred to as "Namibia's most famous actor". He passed away from multiple-drug-resistant tuberculosis in 2003.
