Nur Sürer is a Turkish actress who began her film career with Bereketli Topraklar Üzerinde (On Fertile Soils). She has received the 'Best Actress' award twice at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. Her international debut came with the film Ayna in 1984, which won an Oscar for 'Best Foreign Language Film' in 1991. Sürer has appeared in over forty films and television series, including Umuda Yolculuk (1990), Dunkle Schatten der Angst (1993), and Yara (1998). She played the role of 'Neriman Kozcuoglu' in the TV series Asi from 2007 to 2009. In 2021, Sürer featured in the film Chrysalis, marking her return to cinema.
