Nanako Matsushima is a Japanese actress who gained international recognition for her performance in the horror film Ring (1998). She starred alongside Hiroyuki Sanada in A Story of Love (2000) and has appeared in various television series, including Great Teacher Onizuka (2001). Matsushima also lent her voice to the character in When Marnie Was There (2014). She married fellow actor Takashi Sorimachi, with whom she has two daughters.
