Mayim Bialik is an American actress who played the title character in the NBC sitcom Blossom (1990). She began her career as a child actress in the late 1980s, appearing in films such as Beaches (1988) and Pumpkinhead (1988). Bialik gained further recognition for her role as Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler on CBS's The Big Bang Theory, where her character's profession as a neurobiologist reflects her real-life doctorate in neuroscience. Her performance in The Big Bang Theory earned her multiple Emmy Award nominations from 2012 to 2015. In addition to acting, she has hosted a revival of Candid Camera and co-produced the sitcom Call Me Kat, which premiered in 2021.
