Marc Duret is a French actor who was nominated for a César Award for Most Promising Actor for his role as Rico in La Femme Nikita (1990). He has appeared in various television series, including portraying Cardinal Guillaume Briçonnet in Borgia from 2011 to 2014 and Joseph Duverney in Outlander in 2016. Duret's theatre work earned him a nomination for a Molière Award for Best Newcomer for his performance in Les grandes personnes (The Grown Ups). He studied drama at several prestigious institutions, including the Conservatoire national in Nice and the Stella Adler Conservatory in New York.
