Manivannan is an Indian film actor and director who transitioned from being a story and dialogue writer for Bharathiraja to a successful director before establishing his acting career. Over his three-decade-long career, he appeared in more than 400 films, often taking on supporting roles as a comedian or villain. Notable films featuring Manivannan include Padayappa (1999), Rhythm (2000), and Sivaji: The Boss (2007). He also directed exactly 50 films.
