Manfred Mann is a South African musician who appeared as a jazz pianist in the film Venus in Furs (1969). He became a prominent figure in the music scene after moving to the UK in 1961, where he co-founded the bands Manfred Mann, Manfred Mann Chapter Three, and Manfred Mann's Earth Band. His early group achieved significant success in the 1960s with chart-topping hits like "Do Wah Diddy Diddy" and "Mighty Quinn." Mann's Earth Band gained further acclaim with their 1976 cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Blinded by the Light," which topped the charts in Canada and the U.S. He tours with the band alongside founding member Mick Rogers.
