Malik Zidi is a French actor who made his film debut in Les Corps ouverts (1998). He gained recognition for his role as Franz in François Ozon's Water Drops on Burning Rocks (2000), which earned him his first César Award nomination. Zidi received further acclaim for his performances in Un moment de bonheur (2002) and Les Temps qui changent (2004), the latter featuring Catherine Deneuve. His role in Les Amitiés maléfiques (2006) led to another César nomination, and he won the César Award for Most Promising Actor in 2007. Zidi also authored his first novel, L'ombre du soir, published in 2020. He appeared in Oxygen (2021).
