Maitê Proença is a Brazilian actress who gained significant recognition for her role in the telenovela Dona Beija. She has appeared in numerous Brazilian telenovelas, films, and theatrical productions. Proença has authored two books, including Entre ossos e a escrita, which features her essays, and Uma Vida Inventada, which achieved notable sales in Brazil and was also published in Portugal. In addition to her writing, she has hosted various television shows, such as Video Show and Saia Justa. Proença's work extends to theater, where she both produced and wrote plays, including Achadas e Perdidas. She appeared in the film Forever and Ever (2014).
