Lina Romay is a Spanish actress who appeared in over a hundred feature films, primarily collaborating with director Jesús Franco. She began her film career in the early 1970s, making notable appearances in horror films such as The Bare Breasted Countess (1973), Barbed Wire Dolls (1975), and Jack the Ripper (1976). Romay, who adopted her stage name from a 1940s jazz artist, was also credited in several films as a co-director, though this was reportedly for business reasons rather than actual co-direction. Her long-term partnership with Franco lasted nearly forty years, culminating in their marriage in 2008.
