Katherine MacGregor is an American actress who portrayed Harriet Oleson in Little House on the Prairie (1974). She began her career in theatre, performing in productions like The Seven Year Itch and Handful of Fire, and had minor roles in films such as On the Waterfront and The Traveling Executioner. MacGregor appeared in various television series including Love of Life, Mannix, and All in the Family, before gaining fame in the 1970s for her role in Little House on the Prairie, which she played until 1983. After this iconic role, she shifted her focus to local theater and teaching acting to children. MacGregor was married twice and converted to Hinduism during her life.
