Kate Capshaw is an American actress who played Willie Scott in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). She began her career in education, earning a Master's degree in Learning Disabilities before transitioning to acting, where she first appeared in the soap opera The Edge of Night. Capshaw gained widespread recognition with her role in the action-adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg, which led to their marriage in 1991. Throughout the 80s and 90s, she appeared in films such as Dreamscape (1984), Black Rain (1989), Love Affair (1994), and Just Cause (1995).
