Joseph Gilgun is an English actor who portrayed Vinnie O'Neill in the Sky One series Brassic. He played Eli Dingle in Emmerdale and Jamie Armstrong in Coronation Street, as well as Woody in This Is England (2006). Gilgun performed as Rudy Wade in the E4 series Misfits and as Cassidy in the AMC adaptation of Preacher. His early career began at the age of ten with a role in Coronation Street, and he transitioned to full-time acting after working as a plasterer. He appeared in The Last Witch Hunter (2015).
