Jordan B. Peterson is a Canadian psychologist and author who published his first book, Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief, in 1999. He gained significant attention in the late 2010s for his critiques of political correctness, particularly regarding his opposition to Bill C-16, which he argued would infringe on free speech. His second book, 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos, released in 2018, became a bestseller and was promoted through a world tour. In 2021, he published a follow-up, Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life. Peterson has also served as a professor at the University of Toronto and became chancellor of Ralston College in 2022.
