Jesús Franco is a Spanish director who directed the cult classic The Awful Dr. Orloff, released in 1961. He worked extensively in various roles including writing, cinematography, and acting throughout his career. Franco's filmography includes notable titles such as Venus in Furs (1969), Necronomicon, Ninety-Nine Women, The Bloody Judge, and Count Dracula. After relocating to France in 1970, he shifted towards low-budget, adult-oriented films, which led to a decline in commercial success. Despite this, he maintained a dedicated cult following, particularly for his horror films that blend sexuality and violence. His later works include Faceless and Killer Barbies.
