Jeanne Moreau is a French actress who starred in Lift to the Scaffold (1958) and Jules et Jim (1962). She made her film debut in 1949 after establishing herself at the Comédie-Française. Moreau gained prominence in the 1960s, becoming one of the leading figures in French cinema. Her notable works include Nikita (1990). She received a César Award for Best Actress, a BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Actress, and a Cannes Film Festival Best Actress Award.
