Ivan Verkhovykh is a Russian actor who founded the Academy of Theater Arts in Saratov. He graduated from the Saratov Theater School in 1978 and joined the Saratov Youth Theater, where he worked for eight years. In 1985, he enrolled in the Shchepkin Higher Theater School, and shortly before graduating, he established his own theater. Under his leadership, the Academy of Theater Arts quickly gained recognition, leading to its municipal status five years later. Verkhovykh appeared in the film Row 19 (2021).
