Guy Williams is an American actor who played the title character in the television series Zorro (1957). He gained fame for portraying adventurous heroes during the 1950s and 1960s but did not reach the level of movie-star fame. Williams also starred as the father in the popular sci-fi series Lost in Space, which featured distinctive silver spacesuits. In addition to acting, he had interests in astronomy, chess, and sailing, owning a ketch named The Oceana. Williams retired in the late 1970s and spent his final years in Argentina, where he passed away in 1989.
