Gloria Díaz is the first Filipino to win the Miss Universe title, achieving this in 1969. She has established a notable career in Philippine cinema and television, receiving the FAMAS Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Nasaan Ka Man (2005). Díaz also appeared in the film Untold (2025). Born into a large family as one of twelve siblings, she was groomed for the Miss Universe competition at the age of 18. She studied at St. Scholastica's College Manila and is married to businessman Gabriel 'Bong' Daza, with whom she has two daughters. Her accomplishments in both pageantry and acting have made her a prominent figure in the Philippines.
