Glen Campbell is a Grammy- and Dove Award-winning American country pop singer who starred alongside John Wayne in True Grit (1969). Over a career spanning five decades, he released more than 70 albums and sold 45 million records, achieving significant success on the country charts with 27 Top 10 hits. His notable songs include "Gentle on My Mind," "Wichita Lineman," and "Rhinestone Cowboy." In addition to his music career, Campbell hosted The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour on CBS. He received a Golden Globe nomination for Most Promising Newcomer for his role in True Grit and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
