Gerard Parkes is an Irish-born Canadian actor who portrayed "Doc" in the television series Fraggle Rock. He moved to Toronto in 1956 and built a diverse career in film, television, radio, and theater. Parkes appeared in notable productions such as The Forest Rangers, The Littlest Hobo, and Cagney and Lacey. He won the first Canadian film award for his role in Isabel (1968) and received the Andrew Allan Award in 1983. His film credits include The Adjuster (1991) and he played a bartender in The Boondock Saints (1999) and its sequel, The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (2009). Parkes was awarded the Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Performance in a Featured Role for Kilt in 1999.
