Gérard Darmon is a French-Moroccan actor and singer who has received César Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor for his performances in Betty Blue (1987) and Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (2003). He has appeared in various films, including Employee of the Month (2022) and King (2022). Darmon is of Sephardic Jewish descent and was naturalized as Moroccan in 2012. He has three children, including Sarah and Jules with actress Mathilda May, his second wife. In addition to acting, he has also recorded a cover of "Mambo Italiano."
